Fort Hood Muslim Major and his Personal Jihad

On the afternoon of November 5, 2009, a lone United States Army Major took up arms against his fellow soldiers killing 13 and wounding as many as 30.

The shootings took place 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the post’s Soldier Readiness Center, where soldiers undergo medical screening before being deployed or after returning from overseas.

The shootings began inside the Soldier Readiness Center, and there were unconfirmed reports of a second shooting at a nearby theater where a graduation ceremony was scheduled. Many of the victims were collecting their final deployment papers.

Training at Fort Hood

Witnesses say Army Major Malik Nadal Hasan opened fire using 2 handguns.

Hasan was in stable condition condition at a local hospital Thursday night, Cone said after previously reporting that he was killed at the scene.

A female first responder who shot at Hasan who was also previously thought to be dead, was also alive.

Other witnesses say there were others involved in gunfire and were also in military uniform. Two additional suspects, also confirmed as soldiers stationed at the base, have since been taken into custody and released.

Reports say Major Hasan was scheduled to be sent overseas to Iraq or Afghanistan and was reported to have been upset about his pending deployment.

Hours after the attack, the base remained on lock down status with schools closed and with instructions to families to stay in their homes.

Authorities Begin Investigation

Authorities raided the apartment of American born Major Nidal Malik Hasan early Friday in a search for clues, as another victim died from injuries suffered during the worst mass killing on a U.S. military base.

Federal law-enforcement agents ordered an evacuation of the apartment complex where Hasan lived in Killeen, Texas, and conducted a search of his home.

Officials said earlier that federal search warrants were being drawn up to authorize the seizure of his computer.

Before Thursday’s shooting, Hasan reportedly gave away all of his furniture along with copies of the Koran to neighbors, KXXV-TV reported.

Authorities have not ruled out that Hasan was acting on behalf of some unidentified radical group.

The motive for the shooting wasn’t clear, but Hasan was apparently set to deploy soon, and had expressed some anger about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Federal law enforcement officials told the Associated Press that Hasan had come to their attention at least six months ago because of Internet postings that discussed homicide bombings and other threats. The officials said they are still trying to confirm that he was the author.

One of the Web postings that authorities reviewed is a blog that equates homicide bombers with a soldier throwing himself on a grenade to save the lives of his comrades.

“To say that this soldier committed suicide is inappropriate. Its more appropriate to say he is a brave hero that sacrificed his life for a more noble cause,” said the Internet posting. “Scholars have paralled (sic) this to suicide bombers whose intention, by sacrificing their lives, is to help save Muslims by killing enemy soldiers.”

They say an official investigation was not opened.

Home Grown Terrorists or Islamic Allegiance over U.S. Patriotism ?

The events of this day will no doubt be a game changer with wide implications.

To begin, with the fact that Major Hasan gave away personal belongings prior setting out to kill U.S. military personnel removes any likelihood this is a case where he simply snapped due to stress caused from combat fatigue. It is safe to say his actions were premeditated. His research into the teachings of Islam on the matter further indicate his actions were planned.

From this point forward, many military personal who share the same heritage and/or belief systems as those held by Major Hasan and others will be under greater scrutiny than ever before. American Christians who convert to Islam will be examined with a wary eye to accurately assess their psyche. Security clearances will need to be re-evaluated. Assignments will change, Recruiting practices will be refined.

Make no mistake; this is not a mere case of home-grown terrorism as some officials so readily call it. To label it as such reflects a failure to grasp the fundamentals of what motives these people.

It is clearly a case where religious Islamic zeal (Jihad) has eclipsed normal Western civil sensibilities which then allowed for this level of violence to be unleashed.

An Act of Treason

The actions of Major Hasan are those of treason. He demonstrated his disloyalty to the country he was supposed to have served. He betrayed and killed fellow officers and enlisted men who were serving to protect her. His actions provided aid and comfort to our enemies. By all accounts, Major Hasan is a traitor.

I will expect that the Major will be court martialed in a military court and will, at the very least, receive a life sentence.

If justice is to be served, he will be shot by firing squad.

Cognitive Dissonance

Although this is not an act of terrorism in the classical sense, the nature of this act of violence should serve to open the eyes of many Americans who are still asleep and unaware of what we have living among us in America today.

When this American born Muslim lashed out against his fellow officers and enlisted personnel, he threw off his veil of American patriotism and values and donned the cloth of Islam and the teachings of Muhammad. The motivation needed to embark upon these killings should indicate that one set of religious values overrode the values associated with being an American patriot. It was inevitable.

Major Hasan, was a trained psychiatrist. He had more emotional, cognitive and reasoning skills than most but in spite of these abilities, they were not enough to override the teachings of Islam. For him the mere though of being sent to a Muslim country to fight against Muslim born extremists – his brothers – was more than he could deal with.

Major Hasan

This is a case of cognitive dissonance, a condition which creates uncomfortable feelings caused by holding two contradictory sets of ideals simultaneously. Major Hasan was dealing with a conflicting set of values, attitudes and beliefs.

The Muslim in him was at conflict with whatever sense of being a good American he harbored. The uncomfortable level of dissonance was enough to create the motivation to act. Without a doubt he experienced anxiety, guilt, shame, anger, embarrassment, stress, and other negative emotional states created by a conflict of adopted belief systems.

It is a mistake to classify Major Hasan’s actions as those of a mentally ill person who slipped through examination. Major Hasan was perfectly sane. He, like so many other Muslims, was simply under the influence of Islam’s teachings. When America understands these mechanisms and understand the power these teachings have over other belief systems, then maybe America will come to fully understand the danger facing her.

It is like a shark. You cannot change it’s nature. You cannot be friends with it. It will kill you, unless of course you are also a shark.

The Muslim Brotherhood

The Muslim Brotherhood is an affiliation of at least 70 Islamist organizations around the world, all tracing their heritage to the original cell, founded in Egypt in 1928. Its credo:

“Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. Quran is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope.” — Sayyid Qutb

Hanged by the Egyptian government in 1966 as a revolutionary, Sayyid Qutb remains its ideological godfather. His best-known work, Milestones, calls for Muslims to wage violent holy war until Islamic law governs the entire world.

The Final Irony

We are so afraid of trampling upon someone’s civil liberties that we won’t focus on the main mass which represents the source of our threat. Instead, we randomly pick people from a crowd or a line and expend the energy, money and resources to look into background, examine documents and search luggage to assess threat potential.

Meanwhile, the real terrorist slips through.

This security posture is born from our fear of losing our civil liberties; of taking liberties away from others. The irony here is that because of the policies we hold onto today, we may well end up losing a city. When that happens, the policies we could be employing today to prevent that eventuality will look very attractive and acceptable compared to the ruthless policies and resulting loss of liberties we will then impose upon ourselves.

Newt Gingrich said it better than I can by saying,

“I think those of you who care about civil liberties had better be thinking through how we win this war before the casualties get so great that the American people voluntarily give up a lot of those liberties.”

With the fact that federal authorities were aware of Hasan’s internet conversations and did not open a full investigation, it would appear that even our government has not yet come to full terms with this insidious enemy of freedom.

It’s Time for Muslims to Rise Up and Reclaim Islam

I am always amazed by the comments from passionate Muslims who rail against criticism of Islam and its Qur’an.

The mere act of stating facts about the teachings of the Qur’an preached by their own Imams sends your average Muslim into a fit of outrage while citing passages of Muhammad to damn you, your mother, your soul and your country in a whirlwind of flying slobber.

Can you feel the love?

Have you ever noticed that whenever Islamic fascists protest a movie, a cartoon, a story in the press or a social event in a given country which attempts to illuminate how the Qur’an advocates, encourages and blesses violence and murder of non-believers or transgressors against Islam, the radical Muslim resorts to violence, death threats, murder, bombings, beheadings, etc., in the name of Islam as a way of protest? Whenever Muslims do this they are reinforcing the very point of the story, cartoon, movie, etc. And isn’t it “funny” how we have to apply the term “Moderate Muslim” to define the rest of the Muslims? The term shouldn’t have to exist in the first place.

When they complain about the West and civilized societies which make “sweeping insinuations that the entire Islamic community and every Muslim is at war with the rest of the world”, they demonstrate an inability to look inward into their own community and to question their religious leaders who conjure up whole armies of martyrs using the teachings from the Qur’an, preaching death to the West and non-believers in general.

It is the general belief the West see Muslims as still believing The Crusades never ended. It is up to them to challenge their leadership to abandon these teachings which debase women, hurl insults and threaten the lives of non-believers, teaches revenge, advocates the punishment of those who will not convert to Islam, to kill those who turn away from Islam to adopt other religions, teach that Jews are monkeys and Christians are pigs.

These teachings are what create the perceived characteristics and nature of the Muslim community in general and specifically, Islam and Muhammad which are held by most in the West.

It isn’t their fault when they turn to the Qur’an to learn about the religion and to further understand Muslims and read passages like these.

If the Muslim community is tired of being “misunderstood” they need to stand up and demand better leadership which doesn’t turn the Qur’an against them with its vile and hate-filled crap.

Any religion which espouses or advocates the dismemberment or beheading or killing as punishment or advocates honor killings is basically, fundamentally flawed to its very core.

The stories we read in the press, like the ones below, are messages which come from your own people who have stolen your religion from you and turn it against you. Do not whine to the West because we are taught this by your leadership while you stand idle in your shoes.

Is France waking up to Muslim encroachment?

On June 22, 2009, France’s President Nicolas Sarkozy launched an attack on a small but growing number of fundamentalist women in a “state of the nation” speech that was the first by a French President to both houses of parliament since 1873. It it, Sarkozy called the practice of French Muslim women in France who wear the burka called their full-body dress a “debasement of women”.

“In our country we cannot accept that women be prisoners behind a screen, cut off from all social life, deprived of all identity. The burka is not a religious sign. It is a sign of subservience, a sign of debasement. It will not be welcome on the territory of the French Republic.” – French President Sarkozy, from speech given to French parliament, Versailles.

Mr Sarkozy’ statements reflect a a strong consensus that has emerged against women in France’s five million-strong Muslim community who wear the full or nearly-full cover of their bodies and faces. The latest French controversy over Muslim dress, which follows the 2004 ban on head-cover in state schools, began this month when 60 MPs from both sides of the house demanded action against the burka and the niqab.

“A debate has to take place and all views must be expressed. What better place than parliament for this? I tell you we must not be ashamed of our values, we must not be afraid of defending them.” — President Sarkozy.

While many on the Left disapprove of what is seen as a small rise in women adopting fundamentalist dress, speculated to number several thousand, they are also unhappy with what they see as Mr Sarkozy’s enthusiasm for action. They fear it would further stigmatize the large immigrant population already excluded from much of mainstream life.

Muslim leaders reacted cautiously to Mr Sarkozy’s words on the niqab and burka. Dalil Boubakeur, rector of the Great Mosque of Paris, called the President’s remarks “in keeping with the republican spirit of secularism”. Moderate Muslims also saw full face-covering as a symbol of submission, said Mr Boubakeur.

Measures against face cover are supported by two of the three women Muslims in the French Cabinet but other ministers are questioning the wisdom of legislation that could be impossible to enforce.

While Obama was in Cairo in June 2009, he attacked the French headscarf rule in a speech in a speech he made there, saying that the United States did not believe that the Government should dictate people’s dress.

French Immigration Minister Eric Besson supports policy

On October 25, 2009, French Immigration Minister Eric Besson said in an interview, wearing the burka is “contrary” to French values. His statements underscore building resentment of the impingement of Islamic and Muslim values on European culture

Besson’s remarks again sparked outrage from French opposition members with his claims that French culture is being lost on immigrants.

“I want to launch a major debate over national values and identity,” Besson said in an interview quoted by Radio France Internationale. Besson asserts that immigrants should have a certain understanding of the French language, the country’s history and French culture “to reaffirm the values of identity and the pride of being French,” — French Immigration Minister Eric Besson

While Besson stopped short of calling for a public ban of the garment, he called the burka “inacceptable” in France.

Besson defended the country’s decision to deport three undocumented Afghan immigrants back to their home in Kabul within the previous week and said that he will continue the country’s hard-line approach to illegal immigrants to the country.

France has already deported 21,000 undocumented immigrants in 2009.

Dress Codes in European Countries

— In France a law was passed in 2004 banning pupils from wearing “conspicuous” religious symbols at state schools, a move widely interpreted as aimed at the Muslim headscarf

— In Turkey where 99 per cent of the population is Muslim, all forms of Muslim headscarf have been banned in universities for decades under the secular government. In June 2008 the country’s Consitutional Court overruled government attempts to lift the ban, prompting protests

— In Britain guidelines say that the full Islamic veil should not be worn in courts, but the final decision is up to judges. Schools may forge their own dress codes and in 2006, courts upheld the suspension of Aishah Azmi, a Muslim teaching assistant who refused to remove her veil in class

— German states have the option of choosing to ban teachers and other government employees from wearing Muslim headscarves; four have done so

—The Italian parliament in July 2005 approved anti-terrorist laws that make hiding one’s features from the public — including through wearing the burla — an offence

— Tunisia, a Muslim country, has banned Islamic headscarves in public places since 1981. In 2006 authorities began a campaign against the headscarves and began strictly enforcing the ban

— The Dutch Government said in 2007 that it was drawing up legislation to ban burkas, but it was defeated in elections in November and the new centrist coalition said it had no plans to implement a ban

Brussels, The Capital of EurAbia

Politicians in Europe are generally growing worried as its Muslim population swells amid little integration. Old Europe’s population is dwindling even as immigration and high birth rates among Muslim groups are swelling in cities all over the continent.

“It’s a double-danger; both rampant street-crime and anti-Western sentiment. Some Belgians claim Muslim enclaves are forming in Brussels, who charge its government is bending over backwards to appease the Islamic community.”

In Belgium, Filip Dewinter, is a leader of the far-right separatist party Vlaams Belang. He predicts there will eventually be a kind of civil war when the longtime residents of Brussels — the nation’s capital and administrative seat of the European Union — realize their city is about to be taken over by Muslim immigrants.

There are no official statistics on how many Muslims live in Brussels, but it is believed they make up about 25 percent of the city’s 1 million urban residents.

Dewinter, who opposes immigration and has called Islamophobia a “duty,” claims three of the 19 sections of Brussels, each with its own mayor, now have Muslim majorities.

“In those neighborhoods it’s not our government that’s in power,” he said, “but the Muslim authorities — the mosques, the imams — who are in charge.” — Filip Dewinter

Is Europe out of Time?

Over the centuries, Europe has seen its share of totalitarianism i.e. “ political systems where the state, usually under the control of a single party or faction, recognizes no limits to its authority and strives to regulate every aspect of public and private life wherever feasible.”

“Totalitarian regimes or movements maintain themselves in political power by means of an official all-embracing ideology and propaganda disseminated through the state-controlled mass media, a single party that controls the state, personality cults, control over the economy, regulation and restriction of free discussion and criticism (death to infidels), the use of mass surveillance, and widespread use of state terrorism.”

The world has always taken issue with totalitarianism and has either taken opposing political positions or has fought directly against it while holding to the belief it should be fought no matter which cloak it adopts to cover its intent – world domination – even if that cloak is in the disguise of what some call a religion.

The term “Eurabia” is a political term referring to Europe becoming subsumed by the Arab World, either through European leaders’ capitulation to Islamic influences and/or continued immigration and high birth rates of Muslims in Europe.

If Europe’s experience with Islam can teach U.S. politicians – and us – anything, it will be that while we may try to reject Islamic encroachment and the slow yet systematic dismantling of our culture and beliefs, we run the risk of being labeled as Islamophobes and accused of being filled with prejudice and embracing discriminating policies. It is interesting to note how the characteristics of such accusations actually serve to describe Islam.

Even as some of us recognize it for what it is, as with Britain, our politicians will stand paralyzed by the political correctness which runs through government. It will happen that way because it is political suicide to do anything else. Because of this, I would not be surprised to see a day when political departments and policies are established which are designed to embrace Islam.

Out of time: Radical Islam Taking Over Europe & West

This report suggests that Europe is out of time. In it, “critics say European political correctness and multiculturalism which were supposed to embrace Muslim radicals and somehow Westernize them have seriously backfired and now Western Europe seems paralyzed by the political correctness that grips the government and the media.” fearful of being labeled as an Islamophobe.

Patrick John Mercer, a former infantry officer in the British Army and journalist for the BBC, is now a Conservative politician in the United Kingdom, representing the constituency of Newark in Parliament. In December 2008 Patrick was appointed as Chairman of the House of Commons Sub-Committee on Counter-Terrorism. He says Britain remains in denial and thinks Britain believes it is protected by pointless legislation.

England has fallen to Islam

In an August 2009 American Thinker article, the author explains how Islam has taken a foothold in Britain’s society.

Britain, birthplace of parliamentary democracy, has fallen to Islam. Oxford, once home to the likes of C.S. Lewis, now houses a giant Eastern Islamic Studies Center. If this were the only Islamic addition to Oxford, the mood would be less somber, but when Oxford citizens are forced to awake every morning to the Muslim call to prayer with the full consent of the Church of England, nothing short of conquest has taken place.

Britain’s Muslim demographic is now so dominant that the British government recently began to allow Islamic civil and religious law, known as Sharia, to be enforced along side British law.

Muslim children are taught Jews are apes and Christians are pigs.

Britain is dropping holocaust education for fear of offending Muslims in Britain, where 60% of Muslims would rather live under Sharia law rather than British law.

A radical Muslim group sparked outrage October 15, 2009, as it launched a massive campaign to impose full Sharia law on Britain.

The fanatical group Islam4UK has ­announced plans to hold a potentially ­incendiary rally in London later this month and it is calling for a complete upheaval of the British legal system, its officials and ­legislation.

Members have urged Muslims from all over Britain to converge on the capital on October 31 for a procession to demand the full implementation of Sharia law.

Plans for the demonstration have been ­delivered to the Metropolitan Police and could see up to 5,000 extremists marching to demand the controversial system.

The procession – dubbed March 4 Shari’ah – will start at the House of Commons, which the group’s website describes as the “very place where the lives of millions of people in the UK are changed and it is from here where unjust wars are launched”.

The group then intends to march to 10 Downing Street and “call for the removal of the tyrant Gordon Brown from power”.

The march will then converge on Trafalgar Square where protesters expect it “will gather even more support from tourists and members of the public, making clear in the heart of London the need for Shari’ah in society”.

The group declared: “We hereby request all Muslims in the United Kingdom, in Manchester, Leeds, Cardiff, Glasgow and all other places to join us and collectively declare that as submitters to Almighty Allah, we have had enough of democracy and man-made law and the depravity of the British culture.

“On this day we will call for a complete upheaval of the British ruling system its members and legislature, and demand the full implementation of Shari’ah in Britain.”

Last night politicians and fellow Muslims condemned the group’s incendiary comments, which come in the wake of recent violent incidents in towns and cities like Manchester, Birmingham and Luton, Beds.

Conservative MP and ex-Army officer Patrick Mercer said: “It is extremely distasteful and is stoking the fires of fear within the British public. “If anyone thinks that those views are a step forward in society they are seriously deluded. They are repellent and repulsive.”

The group was also attacked by Tory MP Philip Davies who said: “This march is clearly a deliberate and provocative attempt to incite racial tension and disrupt community cohesion.

“The simple solution is for these people to move to a country which already has sharia law.”

A spokesman for the Islamic Society of Britain said: “99.999 per cent of Muslims despise these people. This only serves to fuel racial ­tensions.”

And Tory MP and Daily Express columnist Ann Widdecombe, said: “You cannot have two legal systems side by side and the one we have now works and the British people are perfectly happy with it.”

The rally has not yet been given final approval. A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: “We have received an application for the march but we have yet to meet with the organisers.”

A Home Office spokesman said: “Everyone has the right to express their view so long as it is done sensibly, without violence and does not incite religious hatred.”

Plans for the march are revealed on the website Islam4UK, which is fronted by preacher Anjem Choudary who has also called for all British women to wear burkhas.

Explaining the Nelson’s Column mock-up he said that under sharia law the construction and elevation of statues or idols is prohibited and consequently the statue of Nelson “would be removed and demolished without hesitation”. At the base of the column the friezes would be replaced with Islamic decoration and giant urns would be filled with gold coins for the poor.

Mr Choudary has said that under sharia law in Britain people who commit adultery would be stoned to death, adding that “anyone who becomes intoxicated by alcohol would be given 40 lashes in public”.

He has also mocked the deaths of British soldiers, and branded an Army homecoming parade a “vile parade of brutal murderers”.

Islamic extremism spreading to U.K. children. “How many mosques have you shut down?”…”We think it’s better to leave them open”.

The Netherlands struggles with Islam

Lesser educated Muslims sometimes claim that the root word of Islam is al-Salaam,which is peace in Arabic. In fact, the root word for Islam is al-Silm, which means submission or surrender. There is no controversy about this among Islamic scholars.

In the Netherlands, the media already subjugates itself to Islam. It refrains from publishing truth or opinions for fear of retaliation by Muslims who riot in the streets proclaiming death to Christians and Jews. The government encourages the media not to upset the Muslim segment of the population.

Geert Wilders is a Dutch politician and leader of the Party for Freedom, a political party in The Netherlands. He already sees the willingness of his government to subjugate itself to oblige Islam. He is concerned that his government will make room for Islam in their society and the public will have to abide by its laws even if they do not believe. He sees how It has already happened in Jakarta and fights to prevent it from happening in the Netherlands.

Muslims following Islam take a dim view of foreigners in the Middle East. They regard them as infidels who should be banished from their lands. Some even kill in pursuit of that belief.

While they take this view for their homeland, the body of immigrant Muslims do not leave that view behind and believe that what is good for their homeland is good for their new host. They demand that the local culture and government yield to their beliefs.

In these countries, as more and more of their values spill out of their mosques and into their streets, into the local culture and into government (see C.A.I.R.) they lose a little more of their freedom.

Nothing, be it a religion or an ideology, should be allowed to overtake and destroy any county’s way of life, culture, language or freedom.

Nothing.

Jizyah tax and Islamic Law

Under Islamic law, jizya or jizyah is a per capita tax levied on a section of an Islamic state’s non-Muslim citizens, who meet certain criteria. From the point of view of the Muslim rulers, jizya was a material proof of the non-Muslims’ acceptance of subjection to the state and its laws, “just as for the inhabitants it was a concrete continuation of the taxes paid to earlier regimes.”

In return, non-Muslim citizens were permitted to practice their faith, to enjoy a measure of communal autonomy, to be entitled to Muslim state’s protection from outside aggression, to be exempted from military service and the Zakat as obligatory upon Muslim citizens.

In some Islamic regions this controversial tax is being charged from Non-Muslims regardless of their military service contribution in their Islamic states.

The Arabic term jizya appears in verse Qur’an 9:29 but the Qur’an does not specify jizya as a tax per head. According to Paul Heck, the jizya taxation seems to be a developed form of the Sassanian practice of taxation.

There were two main legal rationales for jizya: the Communalist and Universalist. The former believed that jizya was a fee in exchange for the dhimma (permission to practice one’s faith, enjoy communal autonomy, and to be entitled to Muslim protection from outside aggression). The latter, however, assumed that such rights were every person’s birthright (Muslim or non-Muslim), and the imposition of jizya on non-Muslims similar to the imposition of Zakat (one of the Five Pillars of Islam, an obligatory wealth tax paid on certain assets which are not used productively for a period of a year) on Muslims.

Islamic Shake Down

In return for the tax, those who paid the jizya were permitted to keep their non-Muslim religion. Their economic and political security was guaranteed (dhimma) by the Islamic state.[

Refusal to pay the jizya tax resulted in warfare until the Islamic rule was accepted. The change from Byzantine and Persian rule to Arab rule lowered taxes and created greater religious freedom, and was welcomed by some Jews and Christians. Nevertheless, taxation was a concern for non-Muslims who were paying a higher tax than the zakat tax paid by Muslims. It was also an important factor persuading many dhimmis to convert to Islam, though during the first century after the Arab conquest of Syria and Palestine conversion to Islam was not encouraged “partly because the jizyah constituted an important source of state revenue”.

This usually meant he non-Muslim was never allowed to stop paying the tax.

According to Abu Yusuf, jurist of Harun al-Rashid, those who didn’t pay jizya should be imprisoned not to be let out of custody until payment. It is not permissible to exempt one person, while obliging another to pay jizya, nor is jizya to be reduced.

The Sikh minority community was forced to pay Jizya to live safely in Taliban controlled regions of Pakistan even though Sikhs serve in Pakistani army. The militants had said the Sikhs should pay jizia in accordance with Shariah or Islamic law. It means non-Muslims must pay jizya if they want to live safely in area governed under Sharia laws regardless of their military contribution for the said Islamic countries/states.

Islamic Intolerance

On September 28, 2009, Pakistan Islamists attacked the home of a Christian family in Murree, a town near the Pakistan capital of Islamabad, for refusing to convert to Islam.

“Rafiq Mashi Bhatti and his family had lived in peace and harmony with their Muslim neighbors for years. However, in the past few months, they received anonymous phone calls and letters warning them to convert to Islam, leave their home or die,” said an International Christian Concern (ICC) spokesperson.

ICC, which is based in Washington, DC, stated that the threatening letters were inscribed with verses from the Qur’an, including Sura 5: 51 which reads, “O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends…”

In one of the letters, the Christian family was told, “You Christians are agents of US led forces. Therefore it is our religious duty to wipe out all Christians from Islamic Holy land of Pakistan.”

The family reported the death threats to the police but the police were unable to prevent the attack. The police are investigating the attack but the unknown assailants remain at large.

Taliban in Pakistan threatens Christians with Jizya tax

International Christian Concern (ICC) has learned that on October 6, members of the Taliban sent threatening letters in Sargodha, Pakistan warning Christian leaders to convert to Islam or face dire consequences.

A copy of the letter obtained by ICC warns Christians to convert to Islam, pay Jizya tax (an Islamic tax imposed on religious minorities) or leave the country. If Christians refuse to accept the choices given to them, the letter explains that they “would be killed, their property and homes would be burnt to ashes and their women would be treated as sex slaves. And they themselves would be responsible for this.”

Rev. Zaheer Khan, pastor of Maghoo Memorial Church, Rev. Aamir Azeem, pastor of United Christians Church and Rev. Zafar Akhter, pastor of United Presbyterian Church each received a copy of threatening letter.

The Islamists sent the letters to the following Christian institutions: St Peter’s Middle School, Sargodha Institute of Technology, Sargodha Catholic High School, St John’s Primary School and Fatima Hospital.

Christians in Pakistan are soft targets for attacks by Islamic extremists. Over the past four months alone, 12 Christians have been killed by Muslims due to their faith. We are alarmed by the increase in attacks against Christians in Pakistan.

Europe’s fight against Islamification

Al-Muhajiroun is an extremist Islamic organization whose two offshoots, The Saviour Sect and Al-Ghurabaa which are banned under the British Terrorism Act 2006 for the ‘glorification’ of terrorism. It operated in the United Kingdom from 14 January 1986 until the British Government announced an intended ban in August 2005.

Omar Bakri Muhammad and Anjem Choudary are known to have led Al-Muhajiroun. The group became notorious for its conference “The Magnificent 19″, praising the September 11, 2001 attacks.

The former Home Secretary Charles Clarke banned Bakri from the United Kingdom on 12 August 2005 because it was alleged that his presence was “not conducive to the public good.”

In June 2009 following more than a five year hiatus the organisation re-launched itself.

Al-Muhajiroun’s proclaimed aims are to establish public awareness about Islam, to influence public opinion in favor of the sharia, to convince members of society that Islam is inherently political and a viable ideological alternative, to unite Muslims on a global scale in the threats facing the Ummah and to resume the Islamic way of life by re-establishing the Islamic Caliphate.

Abu Hamza al-Masri created the Islamic Council of Britain to “implement sharia law in Britain,” on 11 September 2002, the first anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks, primarily through funding from Al-Muhajiroun. Masri celebrated the establishment of the ICB and the 9/11 attacks by holding a conference in Finsbury Park mosque in North London entitled “September the 11th 2001: A Towering Day in History.” Bakri, who attended the conference, said, that attendees

“look at September 11 like a battle, as a great achievement by the mujahideen against the evil superpower. I never praised September 11 after it happened but now I can see why they did it.”

Flyers distributed at the conference referred to the 9/11 hijackers as the “Magnificent 19.” Bakri said he saw Osama bin Laden and Al-Qaeda terrorists as “sincere [and] devoted people who stood firm against the invasion of a Muslim country.” Anjem Choundary, British spokesman for Al Muhajiroun also attended.

Aside from declaring the 9/11 bombers “the Magnificent 19″, controversial statements made by al-Muhajiroun include one warning the British government that it was

“sitting on a box of dynamite and have only themselves to blame if after attacking the Islamic movements and the Islamic scholars, it all blows up in their face”.

BBC quoted one Al-Muhajiroun leader, Abu Ibrahim, as saying,

“When they speak about September 11th, when the two planes magnificently run through those buildings, OK and people turn around and say, ‘hang on a second, that is barbaric. Why did you have to do that?’ You know why? Because of ignorance. … For us it’s retaliation. Islam is not the starter of wars. If you start the war we won’t turn the other cheek. … According to you it can’t be right. According to Islam it’s right. When you talk about innocent civilians, do you not kill innocent civilians in Iraq?”

The English Defense League

The English Defense League (also known as the EDL and occasionally referred to as English and Welsh Defence League) is a British political group formed in 2009 whose professed aim is to oppose the spread of Islamism, Sharia law and Islamic terrorism in the United Kingdom.

The group has organized various protests in the United Kingdom, and claims around 300 active supporters. The English Defense League’s spokesman Trevor Kelway said in August 2009 that British Muslims and Jews who are against militant Islam can join the League “as long as they accept an English way of life”.

A sister organization, the Scottish Defense League, has been formed as has the Welsh Defense League in Swansea and Newport.

Stop the Islamification of Europe

Stop the Islamification of Europe (SIOE), also known as Stop Islamisation of Europe, is an anti-Islamist political interest group which has been active in Denmark and the United Kingdom. The group originated out of the joining of the Danish group Stop Islamiseringen af Danmark (da) with English anti-Islam activists.

The group’s proclaimed aim is to oppose Islamic extremism; they have the motto “Racism is the lowest form of human stupidity, but Islamophobia is the height of common sense”. In September 2009, John Denham, Labour’s Communities Secretary, criticised the group and stated that it was “trying to provoke violence on Britain’s streets” and called it “right-wing”. Unite Against Fascism have opposed the group.

The group describes itself as an alliance “with the single aim of preventing Islam becoming a dominant political force in Europe.” The British National Party denies any links with Stop the Islamification of Europe.

The group was inspired by a Danish group of the same name which have held protests outside Danish mosques since the Jyllands-Posten Muhammad cartoons controversy. The group has 2,300 supporters on its Facebook page. Social networking sites have been used to plan protests.

Stop the Islamification of Europe was originally a Danish anti-Islamist group which originated out of the Jyllands-Posten Muhammad cartoons controversy. The group were founded in 2007 by Anders Gravers Pedersen, the leader of a small Danish party called the Stop the Islamisation of Denmark (Danish: Stop Islamiseringen af Danmark). On September 11th 2007 the group staged a demonstration in Brussels, Belgium.

Affiliate organizations have been created in 10 European countries including Denmark, Russia, Finland, France, Germany, Norway, Poland, Romania, Sweden and the United States of America.

Attempts to preserve values and culture are attacked by Muslim immigrants

The rise of the organizations who protest the injection of Islamic values into their societies, governments and legal systems illuminate the tactics used by Muslim leaders against them.

While the citizens of a country feel the threat of Islamic culture and the need to organize and act to preserve their way of life, Muslim leaders play the “discrimination and hate crime” card.

Local politicians are helping Islamic encroachment by countering with the “diversity and understanding” card.

America is not immune to this Islamic movement. We had better wake up and form the policies required to prevent the Islamification of the United States.

The double-edged sword of multiculturalism and lessons from Denmark

In August 2002, a Muslim group in Denmark announced that a $30,000 bounty would be paid for the murder of several prominent Danish Jews, a threat that garnered wide international notice. Less well known is that this is just one problem associated with Denmark’s approximately 200,000 Muslim immigrants. The key issue is that many of them show little desire to fit into their adopted country.

For years, Danes lauded multiculturalism and insisted they had no problem with the Muslim customs – until one day they found that they did. Some major issues:

* Living on the dole: Third-world immigrants – most of them Muslims from countries such as Turkey, Somalia, Pakistan, Lebanon and Iraq – constitute 5 percent of the population but consume upwards of 40 percent of the welfare spending.

* Engaging in crime: Muslims are only 4 percent of Denmark’s 5.4 million people but make up a majority of the country’s convicted rapists, an especially combustible issue given that practically all the female victims are non-Muslim. Similar, if lesser, disproportions are found in other crimes.

* Self-imposed isolation: Over time, as Muslim immigrants increase in numbers, they wish less to mix with the indigenous population. A recent survey finds that only 5 percent of young Muslim immigrants would readily marry a Dane.

* Importing unacceptable customs: Forced marriages – promising a newborn daughter in Denmark to a male cousin in the home country, then compelling her to marry him, sometimes on pain of death – are one problem.

Another is threats to kill Muslims who convert out of Islam. One Kurdish convert to Christianity, who went public to explain why she had changed religion, felt the need to hide her face and conceal her identity, fearing for her life.

* Fomenting anti-Semitism: Muslim violence threatens Denmark’s approximately 6,000 Jews, who increasingly depend on police protection. Jewish parents were told by one school principal that she could not guarantee their children’s safety and were advised to attend another institution. Anti-Israel marches have turned into anti-Jewish riots. One organization, Hizb-ut-Tahrir, openly calls on Muslims to “kill all Jews . . . wherever you find them.”

* Seeking Islamic law: Muslim leaders openly declare their goal of introducing Islamic law once Denmark’s Muslim population grows large enough – a not-that-remote prospect. If present trends persist, one sociologist estimates, every third inhabitant of Denmark in 40 years will be Muslim.

Other Europeans (such as the late Pim Fortuyn in Holland) have also grown alarmed about these issues, but Danes were the first to make them the basis for a change in government.

In the November 2001 elections, a center-right coalition came to power that – for the first time since 1929 – excluded the socialists. The right broke its 72-year losing streak and won a solid parliamentary majority by promising to handle immigration issues, the electorate’s first concern, differently from the socialists.

The next nine months did witness some fine-tuning of procedures: Immigrants now must live seven years in Denmark (rather than three) to become permanent residents. Most non-refugees no longer can collect welfare checks immediately on entering the country. No one can bring into the country an intended spouse under the age of 24. And the state prosecutor is considering a ban on Hizb-ut-Tahrir for its death threats against Jews.

These minor adjustments prompted howls internationally – with European and U.N. reports condemning Denmark for racism and “Islamophobia,” the Washington Post reporting that Muslim immigrants “face habitual discrimination,” and a London Guardian headline announcing that “Copenhagen Flirts with Fascism.”

In reality, however, the new government barely addressed the existing problems. Nor did it prevent new ones, such as the death threats against Jews or a recent Islamic edict calling on Muslims to drive Danes out of the Norrebro quarter of Copenhagen.

The authorities remain indulgent. The military mulls permitting Muslim soldiers in Denmark’s volunteer International Brigade to opt out of actions they don’t agree with – a privilege granted to members of no other faith. Mohammed Omar Bakri, the self-proclaimed London-based “eyes, ears and mouth” of Osama bin Laden, won permission to set up a branch of his organization, Al-Muhajiroun.

Contrary to media reports, the real news from Denmark is not flirting with fascism but getting mired in inertia. A government elected specifically to deal with a set of problems has made minimal headway. Its reluctance has potentially profound implications for the West as a whole.

‘Kill the Jews’

Last year, a New York City bicycle cabbie, Yousef al-Khattab, used his Web site RevolutionMuslim.com to mock the beheading of journalist Daniel Pearl.

On October 7, 2009, al-Khattab, formerly Joseph Cohen, posted a prayer calling for the murder of Jews and exhorting Muslims to “throw liquid drain cleaner in their faces.”

An American-born Jew formerly known as Joseph Cohen who converted to Islam after attending an Orthodox rabbinical school — the 41-year-old al-Khattab called on Allah to carry out “wrath on the Jewish occupiers of Palestine & their supporters.”

“Please throw liquid drain cleaner in their faces,” he wrote. ” … burn their flammable sukkos while they sleep … Ya Allah (Oh God) answer my duaa (prayer).” (“Sukkos” refers to the Jewish holiday of Sukkot, during which Jews build and eat their meals in outdoor huts known as “sukkahs,” which represent the huts the Jews lived in during their exodus from Egypt.)

al-Khattab removed the post a “few days ago” and replaced it with a post about a mosque in Jerusalem.

The blog post, signed by al-Khattab, notes that it should be taken only as a “prayer” and not as an incitement to genocide.

“I suffer from mental Tourette’s [syndrome]. I say what’s on my mind. We have freedom of speech.”, al-Khattab said.

The posting reflects the “prayer of every true Muslim,” al-Khattab said.

“Every true Muslim would say the same thing,” he continued. “Most people would agree that any occupied people have the right to defend themselves.”

Al-Khattab said he created RevolutionMuslim.com with the mission of “preserving Islamic culture” and seeking support of the “beloved Sheik Abdullah Faisal, who’s preaching the religion of Islam and serving as a spiritual guide.”

Faisal was convicted in the U.K. in 2003 for spreading messages of racial hatred and urging his followers to kill Jews, Hindus and Westerners. In sermon recordings played at his trial, Faisal called on young, impressionable Muslims to use chemical weapons to “exterminate unbelievers” and “cut the throat of the Kaffars [nonbelievers] with [a] machete.”

Authorities believe Faisal’s sermons influenced London transport bomber Germaine Lindsay and the so-called “shoe bomber,” Richard Reid, who attended mosques where Faisal preached

Gregg Zukowski, president of the NYC Pedicab Association, said al-Khattab has been riding a pedicab in midtown Manhattan “on and off” for the past several years without any reported incidents. Zukowski was unaware of al-Khattab’s Web site.

“He’s just like one of a 1,000 guys who ride a pedicab,” Zukowski told Foxnews.com. “There’s nothing that sticks out about him in particular.”

Protected by the First Amendment

Yousef al-Khattab, who lives in Queens, insists the words he has posted on his Web site are a prayer and not a threat — and that his hatred is protected by the First Amendment.

“If it was a threat, I’d be in jail. I’m asking my God, that’s what it is. Every supporter of Israel is an enemy combatant and the immune system is not anti-Semitic for resisting disease.”

Judge Andrew Napolitano, Fox News’ senior legal analyst, said the posting is “absolutely protected” by the First Amendment.

“All innocuous speech is absolutely protected and all speech is innocuous when there is time for more speech to rebut or address it,” he told Foxnews.com. “So even if this Web site were to call on Muslim freedom fighters to kill Jews, as long as there is time for someone else to challenge this with words, then the originals words are lawful.”

Officials at the Anti-Defamation League are worried about its ability to influence others.

“Whether it’s a poem or a prayer, however he describes it, he decided to post it. And if you’re going to be posting a prayer like that, you just don’t know who’s going to read that and who might be influenced by it,” said Oren Segal, director of the ADL’s Center on Extremism. “There’s a certain amount of responsibility behind posting your own blog. We take it very seriously.”

RevolutionMuslim.com has been monitored by the Anti-Defamation League since 2006, Segal said, and has roughly five to 10 active members who frequently distribute anti-Semitic literature in front of mosques throughout New York City.

FBI spokesman Richard Kolko told Foxnews.com last year that it’s difficult to bring criminal charges against operators of Web sites like RevolutionMuslim.com unless specific threats are made.

‘It’s usually a First Amendment right if they don’t cross the threshold of making threats,” Kolko said. “There’s nothing we should or could do.”

Al-Khattab, who said he’s driven a pedicab in New York for the last three years, is married with four kids.

Got Qur’an?

For those who don’t understand the Qur’an, here are a few of the Suras which can be found in it. They do not teach messages of “turn the other cheek” or other messages of forgiveness, inclusion and love.

Obama over his head on Afghanistan

General McChrystal warns against losing Afghanistan to Taliban. Obama delays decision on request for 40,000 more troops.

Prior to 9/11 and for several weeks afterward, the Taliban was providing safe haven to Osama bin Laden and his Al Qaeda. President Bush explicitly demanded for the Taliban leadership to hand him over to U.S. custody for prosecution. The Taliban declined to do so. We repeated the demand and again we were rebuffed.

Then the stakes changed. We notified the Taliban leadership that if they did not hand over Osama bin Laden within hours the Taliban would then be talking directly to the U.S. military.

The rest as they say is history.

Afghanistan is key. If it falls to the Taliban they will have control of the poppy trade which provides them with lots and lots of money with which they can buy guns, supplies and bribes for Al Qaeda’s needs. It is also used to help fund operations in America i.e. airfare for sleeper cell members stationed in Colorado who need to fly to New York who can’t normally afford to do so on the salary of an airport shuttle bus driver.

In addition the Taliban will have a stable station of operations from which they can continue to threaten Pakistan, already rife with Taliban and Al Qaeda supporters. Pakistan’s nuclear storage facility is not far from its northern borders.

When asked in 2008 about the security of Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal, Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman Admiral Mike Mullen didn’t hesitate: “I’m very comfortable that the nuclear weapons in Pakistan are secure,” he said flatly.

Asked the same question in April 2009, his answer had changed. “I’m reasonably comfortable,” he said, “that the nuclear weapons are secure.”

As America’s top military officer, Mullen has traveled regularly to Pakistan — twice in just the past two weeks — for talks with his Pakistani counterpart, General Ashfaq Kayani, and others.

And like all those who have risen to four-star rank, Mullen chooses his words with extreme care. Replacing “very comfortable” with “reasonably comfortable” is a decidedly discomforting signal of Washington’s concern that no matter how well-guarded the nukes may be today, the chaos now enveloping Pakistan doesn’t bode well for their status tomorrow or the day after.

The prospect of turmoil in Pakistan sends shivers up the spines of those US officials charged with keeping tabs on foreign nuclear weapons. Pakistan is thought to possess about 100 — the US isn’t sure of the total, and may not know where all of them are. Still, if Pakistan collapses, the US military is primed to enter the country and secure as many of those weapons as it can, according to US officials.

The Taliban takeover of Haripur would put the Taliban on the doorstep of Islamabad and would also put two major nuclear facilities at risk. Haripur borders the Margala Hills, a region in the Islamabad Capital Territory. Haripur also borders the Punjab districts of Attock and Rawalpindi.

Attock hosts two major nuclear facilities in Pakistan: the Wah Cantonment Ordnance Complex and the Kamra (Minhas) Airbase. The Wah Cantonment Ordnance Complex host three sites where nuclear weapons and components are stored and assembled and aircraft and missiles are modified for use in nuclear attacks. The nearby Kamra Airbase is thought to host attack aircraft capable of delivering nuclear weapons.

If those facilities come into the hands of the Taliban it is game over for Pakistan and then India gets real, real nervous. She’s armed, too.

Now what?

Under this scenario we have an avowed enemy of the U.S. who likes to blow things up in the first place and who now have nuclear weapons. For them that IS the ultimate goal. If this happens, 9/11 will look like nothing compared to losing a city with millions.

Who do we attack then?

On September 23, 2009, Former Bush Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice weighed in with a pretty sharp message for Democratic lawmakers who don’t want to send more U.S. troops to an unpopular war in Afghanistan that seems to be getting worse.

“If you want another terrorist attack in the U.S., abandon Afghanistan,” she said.

She continued by saying, “The last time we left Afghanistan, and we abandoned Pakistan that territory became the very territory on which Al Qaeda trained and attacked us on September 11th. So our national security interests are very much tied up in not letting Afghanistan fail again and become a safe haven for terrorists.”

So you see, Afghanistan is key.

Newt Gingrich gives us a clue about what America will be like when that happens:
“I think those of you who care about civil liberties had better be thinking through how we win this war before the casualties (American civilians) get so great that the American people voluntarily give up a lot of those liberties. ”

Tom Tancredo, who ran for president on the Republican ticket in the last election has a very, very, good understanding about what America is facing. Still, few Americans can grasp what we are up against. He gets it:

The national intelligence estimates show what Islamic Fascist are planning.
From the televised Republican primary debate held August 5, 2007, in Iowa, this question was asked of Republican presidential candidate Tom Tancredo.

Last week you said that, in order to deter an attack by Islamic terrorists using nuclear weapons, you would threaten to bomb Mecca and Medina. The State Department called that “reprehensible” & “absolutely crazy.”

To which he replied…

“Yes, the State Department–boy, when they start complaining about things I say, I feel a lot better about the things I say, I’ll tell you right now. My task as president is primarily to do one thing–not to make sure everybody has health care or everybody’s child is educated–my task is to do one thing: to protect and defend this country. And that means to deter–and I want to underline “deter”–any kind of aggression, especially the type we are threatened with by Al Qaida, which is nuclear attack. I read the national intelligence estimate. I see what they are planning. And I’m telling you right now that anybody that would suggest that we should take anything like this off the table in order to deter that kind of event in the United States isn’t fit to be president.”

With the fact that Obama is dragging his feet on fulfilling a request for more troops to beat down and eliminate the Taliban forces, it would appear that Obama does not “get it.”

C.A.I.R to know the truth

C.A.I.R. is founded by Islamic terrorists and with many subsequent ties to terrorists. Over the years, it has established a long record of untrustworthiness that includes doctoring a photograph, fabricating anti-Muslim hate crimes, and promoting suspect polling. It has also intimidated critics via libel suits, boasted of ties to a neo-Nazi, and allegedly paid hush money. Eventually, close scrutiny of this outfit will likely lead to its demise.

Senator Charles Schumer (Democrat, New York) describes it as an organization “which we know has ties to terrorism.   (FDCH Political Transcripts, Sept. 10, 2003)

Senator Dick Durbin (Democrat, Illinois) observes that CAIR is “unusual in its extreme rhetoric and its associations with groups that are suspect.”

Steven Pomerantz, the FBI’s former chief of counterterrorism, notes that “CAIR, its leaders, and its activities effectively give aid to international terrorist groups.”  – Joseph Farah, “Between the Lines: The Real CAIR“

The family of John P. O’Neill, Sr., the former FBI counterterrorism chief who perished at the World Trade Center, named in a CAIR lawsuit as having “been part of the criminal conspiracy of radical Islamic terrorism responsible for the September 11 atrocities. Counter-terrorism expert Steven Emerson calls it “a radical fundamentalist front group for Hamas.

Of particular note are the American Muslims who reject CAIR’s claim to speak on their behalf. The late Seifeldin Ashmawy, publisher of the New Jersey-based Voice of Peace, called CAIR the champion of “extremists whose views do not represent Islam.”

Jamal Hasan of the Council for Democracy and Tolerance explains that CAIR’s goal is to spread “Islamic hegemony the world over by hook or by crook.”

Kamal Nawash, head of Free Muslims Against Terrorism, finds that CAIR and similar groups condemn terrorism on the surface while endorsing an ideology that helps foster extremism, adding that “almost all of their members are theocratic Muslims who reject secularism and want to establish Islamic states.”

Tashbih Sayyed of the Council for Democracy and Tolerance calls CAIR “the most accomplished fifth column” in the United States.

And Stephen Schwartz of the Center on Islamic Pluralism writes that CAIR should be considered a foreign-based subversive organization, comparable in the Islamist field to the Soviet-controlled Communist Party, USA.”

CAIR, for its part, dismisses all criticism, blaming negative comments on “Muslim bashers” who “can never point to something CAIR has done in its 10-year history that is objectionable.”

Actually, there is much about the organization’s history that is objectionable—and it is readily apparent to anyone who bothers to look.
