The fact that Nigerian Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, who was charged with trying to blow up a plane, was not considered to be a viable threat despite being in many of the government’s terror databases is positive proof we have yet to come to full terms with the nature of this enemy called Islam.

Why was Abdulmutallab allowed to obtain a visa while on a government terror database? Who is administering that data and if we aren’t acting on the information within it then what is it being used for?

On Christmas Day, 2009, Abdulmutallab managed to board Northwest Flight 253 despite having been in one of the U.S. government’s largest terror databases since November, when his father brought him to the attention of embassy officials in Nigeria.

As the plane approached Detroit, Abdulmutallab went to the bathroom for 20 minutes. When he returned to his seat, he complained of an upset stomach and covered himself with a blanket.

Passengers heard a popping noise, similar to a firecracker. They smelled an odor, and some passengers saw Abdulmutallab’s pant leg and the wall of the airplane on fire. Passengers and the flight crew used blankets and fire extinguishers to quell the flames. They restrained Abdulmutallab, who later told a flight attendant he had an “explosive device” in his pocket. He was seen holding a partially melted syringe.

The airplane landed in Detroit shortly after the incident.

Abdulmutallab claimed to have received training and instructions from Al Qaeda operatives in Yemen, law enforcement officials said. He is also believed to have had Internet contact with militant Islamic radicals.

While intelligence officials said Saturday that they are taking seriously Abdulmutallab’s claims that the plot originated with Al Qaeda’s network inside Yemen, several added that they had to yet to see independent confirmation. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation is incomplete.

Four weeks ago, Abdulmutallab’s father told the U.S. embassy in Abuja, Nigeria, that he was concerned about his son’s religious beliefs. This information was passed on to U.S. intelligence officials.

Abdulmutallab received a valid U.S. visa in June 2008 that is good through 2010.

His is one of about 550,000 names in the Terrorist Identities Datamart Environment database, known as TIDE, which is maintained by the U.S. National Counterterrorism Center and was created in response to the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Intelligence officials said they lacked enough information to place him in the 400,000-person terror watch list or on the no-fly list of fewer than 4,000 people who should be blocked from air travel.

The only reason authorities were able to arrest Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab was because he failed at his attempt to blow up the aircraft in which he as flying as a passenger. If he had been successful at executing his plot there would have been hundreds of deaths, including the innocents on the ground. The West will not be able to fight this enemy by reacting to acts of terrorism after the fact. It does no good to close the barn door after the horse is out.

This is the 7th Islamic, Muslim-fascist terror plot to take place in America since Obama took office in January of this year (2009). (Read full list here) It would appear that he and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano are clueless about the nature of this threat. Obama needs to pull his head out of his ass and Napolitano should resign immediately.

The West had better wake up.

Meanwhile, we’ll listen to the outcry from Muslim leadership against Abdulmutallab for misrepresenting Islam when he conducted his act under its name.

The raid in Yemen’s east targeted an Al Qaeda leadership meeting held to organize terror attacks. U.S. officials believe radical cleric Anwar Awlaki was “probably” one of dozens of militants killed in the strike.

Reuters quoted an unnamed Yemeni official as saying,

“Awlaki is suspected to be dead [in the air raid]“

Over several months, Major Hasan communicated 10 to 20 times with Awlaki, but the “general tenor” of the communications was “fairly benign” and fit with research he was conducting at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, D.C., one U.S. official said last month.

The head of Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, Nasser al-Wahishi and his deputy, Saeed al-Saudi Shahrani, were present at the meeting and are believed to have died, but their deaths could not immediately be confirmed.

“The raid was carried out as dozens of members of Al Qaeda were meeting in Wadi Rafadh,” a source told AFP, referring to a rugged location about 400 miles east of the capital.

“Members of the group’s leadership, including Saad al-Fathani and Mohammad Ahmed Saleh al-Omir, were among those killed,” he was quoted as saying.

“Saudis and Iranians at the Wadi Rafadh meeting were also among the dead,” said the source, without going into detail.

Awlaki was once the imam at the prominent Dar al-Hijrah Mosque in Virginia, where the FBI says he had a close relationship with two of the 9/11 hijackers. He fled the U.S. in 2002, eventually returning to Yemen, where he promoted the Iraqi and Afghan insurgencies to a growing religious following in sermons and online.

In an interview posted on Al Jazeera’s Web site, Awlaki said he received an e-mail from Fort Hood gunman Maj. Nidal Hasan on Dec. 17, 2008, “asking for an edict regarding the [possibility] of a Muslim soldier [killing] colleagues who serve with him in the American army.”

Awlaki, who was born in Las Cruces, N.M., said subsequent e-mails “mentioned the religious justifications for targeting the Jews with missiles.” He told the Washington Post in an interview that Hasan eventually came to regard him as a confidant.

A Yemeni official, also speaking on condition of anonymity to AFP, said those attending the meeting “planned to launch terrorist attacks against economic installations in Yemen, in retaliation for Yemeni strikes launched last week.”

On Dec. 17, warplanes and security forces on the ground attacked what authorities said was an Al Qaeda training camp in the area of Mahsad in the southern province of Abyan. Saleh el-Shamsy, a provincial security official, said at least 30 suspected militants were killed. Witnesses, however, put the number killed at over 60 in the heaviest strike and said the dead were mostly civilians.

Much like the effort with Pakistan’s Frontier Corps, the U.S. military has boosted its counterterrorism training for Yemeni forces, and is providing more intelligence, which probably includes surveillance by unmanned drones, according to U.S. officials and analysts.

The Yemeni Interior Ministry said 25 suspected Al Qaeda members were arrested Wednesday in San’a and it has set up checkpoints in the capital to control traffic flow as part of a campaign to clamp down on terrorism.

The United States has repeatedly called on Yemen to take stronger action against Al Qaeda, whose fighters have taken advantage of the central government’s weakness and increasingly found refuge here in the past year. Worries over the growing presence are compounded by fears that Yemen could collapse into turmoil from its multiple conflicts and increasing poverty and become another Afghanistan, giving the militants even freer reign.

The country was the scene of one of Al Qaeda’s most dramatic pre-9/11 attacks, the 2000 suicide bombing of the destroyer USS Cole off the Aden coast that killed 17 American sailors. The government allied itself with Washington in the war on terror, but U.S officials have complained that it often strikes deals with militants.

A source tells Fox News that the FBI now thinks that radical cleric Anwar Awlaki is still alive.

Awlaki was believed to have been killed in a Yemen airstrike that was also thought to have taken out the region’s top Al Qaeda leader and 30 other militants.

I believe most Americans don’t “get it” about Afghanistan and why we’re there.

I know that the relationship between al Qaeda and the Taliban is a close one. Their differences lie in ambitions. The Taliban want to govern Afghanistan again while al Qaeda wants a borderless, all-Muslim Middle East.

The Taliban was formed by the orphaned children of Russia’s involvement in Afghanistan. During those early days of formation several Taliban leaders received funding from al Qaeda and wealthy Arabs which continues today.

Earlier this month Hillary Clinton acknowledged al Qaeda’s ambitions to gain access to Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal. I know too, that Iran has given safe haven to senior al Qaeda leadership and continues to supply them with funding and weapons.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has stated his desire to see Israel wiped off the map. I believe Iran will not hesitate to hand over a nuclear weapon to al Qaeda. That belief is reinforced by observing US policy against Iran’s nuclear ambitions as opposed to our behavior against North Korea’s program. But al Qaeda doesn’t seem willing to wait while Iran develops their bomb, several years away from a test-detonation. Al Qaeda’s ambitions are demonstrated by its three attacks on Pakistan’s nuclear storage facilities since November 2007.

I believe Americans fail to accurately weigh the importance of containing Iran while also preventing al Qaeda from destabilizing Pakistan which is to make it easier to gain access to her nukes. It is why we are still in Afghanistan. It isn’t about bringing civilization to Afghanistan. Our presence there has nothing to do with that.

Pakistan’s future is tied to our success at totally destroying al Qaeda’s senior leadership. The Taliban must also be destroyed to prevent it from destabilizing Afghanistan’s government.

The security of the U.S. is contingent upon that success and is why I believe we will be there in some manner for a long, long time. Indeed, we may never fully vacate the area.

Comparing the messages and teachings of the Old Testament against the New Testament reveals a God of fear whose message and persona change to one of loving, acceptance, forgiveness and spiritual growth.

It shows that the message of Christianity has reformed itself for a modern world wishing to advance compassion and healing.

It is time for Islam to do the same to its Qur’an. Here is why.

Minarets

A question comes out of this. Why is one of the most democratic countries in Europe voting for a law to ban minarets? What is it they are so concerned over which we cannot see from our vantage point?

One of two things will happen next; the law is struck down (actually, it’s a constitutional amendment) or church bell towers will have to be silenced or taken down to make the law agnostic to the issue. No pun intended.

If I were a cigarette smoker, my right to smoke ends where the non-smoker’s nose begins. There are laws which support this idea by banning cigarette smoking in restaurants, office buildings and other places.

The rights of Muslims to broadcast calls to prayer end where the non-Muslim’s ear begins. In a modern day world, there is no valid reason to broadcast these calls which forcefully imposes this aspect of Muslim culture upon non-believers, aka, “Kafirs”.

The will of the majority was exercised when they cast their votes. Their system of democracy is working as designed. We should be glad.

Generally, liberals don’t automatically understand the threat Islam and radicalized Muslims pose to America.

Under Islam, dissenting opinion would not be allowed. Muslims do not want Western civilizations to quote the Qur’an to prove the point about its hate-filled verses. You see, to do that is blasphemous and if they have their way, it will be punishable by law. If this were to become law. the host country will have lost a bit of freedom and now must subjugate themselves to the will of Islam.

Under this situation, whose rights are being denied? Careful, the thought police which will be in place to enforce this law may be listening.

If you look into it – maybe you have already – you will read that there has been a term coined by Europeans to describe the on-going immigration of Muslims. They now refer to their continent as Eurabia.

Some label Europe’s alarm as “Islamophobic” which is an unfortunate term against those concerned with preserving their own identities and cultural values. It’s their country. They have an inherent right to preserve its values and culture against a foreign set of values. Their concern is born from observing the nature of the advance of the population across Europe. Where ever Muslims make a concentrated populace with enough mass and political influence, they begin making demands for Sharia law which effectively usurps the nation’s legal system, especially in areas of family law. When the host country’s citizens protest, the Muslim leadership always cite bigotry, racism, hatred and intolerance toward Muslims. This is the origin of the term “Islamophobic” comes from and is quite effective against spineless populations stricken with politically correct paralysis.

While Switzerland is attempting to preserve itself Great Britain has already adopted Islamic law where sharia courts have been given powers to rule on Muslim civil cases. The government has quietly sanctioned the powers for sharia judges to rule on cases ranging from divorce and financial disputes to those involving domestic violence. Rulings issued by a network of five sharia courts are enforceable with the full power of the judicial system, through the county courts or High Court.

Muslim tribunal courts started passing sharia judgments in August 2007. They have dealt with more than 100 cases that range from Muslim divorce and inheritance to nuisance neighbors.

Dominic Grieve, the shadow home secretary, said: “If it is true that these tribunals are passing binding decisions in the areas of family and criminal law, I would like to know which courts are enforcing them because I would consider such action unlawful. British law is absolute and must remain so.”

It means that British Muslims are subject only to Sharia law which could result in fines or punishment not in line with the nation’s laws.

So, Britain is now a nation of two laws and two court systems. What’s to follow next?

If a female Muslim can get a driver’s license while wearing a burka, will the ACLU come to my aid if I walk into a bank wearing a ski mask? I wonder if that will be alright. Ok, ok, this was just a word problem, nothing more.

Back to being serious, I can recall another nation whose populace did little to combat an encroaching ideology which advanced hatred, intolerance and a ridged set of values for others to follow “or else”. It eventually consumed her and led to her destruction.

If the populace had put up a meaningful resistance then, would it have looked to those on the outside as being a bit Naziphobic?

Today, I see a bit of a chasm between those who understand the characteristics and inherent dangers of the ideology called Islam and those who exhibit an unwillingness to see it for what it is for fear of insulting Muslims who, by the way, already know what it is. Those in the latter group cannot or will not make the leap.

From Sociology 101, we learn people usually start hating another group as a result of the deeds or beliefs which are different from their own. During WW-II, many hated the Nazis and the Japanese. Today, it can be safely said that the hatred for them is long gone. This is because the ideology which they followed – the origin of their deeds – died when their military, the tool used to advance their ideology, was defeated.

Today, Islam – another ideology – poses a problem for America and the world, which can be divided into 5 distinct groups (in this context of Islam and with no emphasis on order).

The first group are composed of the so-called “moderate Muslim” (it is odd any religious group needs this moniker). This group represents the vast majority of Muslims – all 1.82 billion of them. They are not to be confused with the devout Muslim. Major Hasan did not belong to this group. Nor did the 19 hijackers of 9/11.

The second group are comprised of “radicalized” Muslims. These people represent the devout in that they follow the teachings of Muhammad to the “n”th degree. It allows them to believe that no other religion is to be tolerated. Furthermore, non-Muslims, Christians and Jews are to be viewed as infidels and the enemies of Islam; to be treated as sub-human (i.e. Jews are monkeys; Christians are pigs.) This isn’t just an interpretation. Far from it. These teachings are in the Qur’an. For example

The third world-group doesn’t care either way; they are ambivalent about Islam. This might be because of choice or because they just haven’t the time or intellect to dissect the issues to make a decision about whether there is a problem or not.

The fourth group have dissected the issues to their satisfaction and believe Islam is a simple problem of religion which can be solved with understanding and tolerance. This approach works for them as it adopts a familiar model which has been followed before and one which they believe will also work for Islam.

The fifth group understands Islam for what it is; Islam is an ideology with a political, economic and legal system which demands an absolute submission to its rules with designs for world dominance. They recognize the problem lies with the devout. They understand this isn’t a new problem; it has been recognized before by wiser men who have seen it first hand. It has been with the world for generation after generation. It is a subject about which many have written in attempts to describe and forewarn. For example

As we did after WW-II, I believe it is entirely possible to separate the followers of an ideology from the ideology itself allowing us to “hate” the correct component.

But make no mistake; to think we in America will be just fine if we treat it like “a problem of diversity and tolerance” will prove to be a policy which will guarantee our undoing.

Nowhere in the above did I espouse a hatred for a people, nor did I once emit a slur. I recognize and respect “the good Muslim” irrespective of the country to which they pledge their allegiance. (That point should be emphasized.) I did, however, make an honest attempt to describe what many before me have seen as an insidious enemy which is to be treated as such.

I belong with those in the fifth group who see Islam for what it is. I recognize the tool used to advance their ideology is “terrorism”. I know their beliefs and I know their goals. I know they never intend to live in harmony with non-Muslims. I know they wish to conquer and to outlaw all religions they see as invalid. Anyone would be a fool to know different.

Islam is an ideology that should be open to critical examination. “Moderate” Muslims, however, are individuals who should be protected from harm or harassment in the same way and for the same reasons as anyone else.

If Islam is to persist, however, it must be reformed. If Muslims reject this notion, then Islam must be destroyed.

… and so will our lackadaisical security posture.

This past October, I was on vacation to see the Grand Canyon. As our small airport tour bus came into the vicinity of the Hoover Dam, we had to pass through the dam “security” they “installed”. There was a lone police car parked with no one in it. Our tour bus (airport shuttle type) was “inspected” by the Homeland Security dam guard who placed a foot on the first step of the bus as he leaned in to say “Good Morning”. Our driver then handed him one of the boxed continental type breakfasts we received as part of our tour “package” and he waived us through.

See that lone white car near mid-center? That's the Dam Security. It's empty.

The Hate and Intolerance of Islam

Any religion which leaves room for its spiritual leadership – its imams – to preach, condone, encourage, applaud, cultivate, foment, espouse or otherwise embrace hatred toward non-Muslims, consider Jews and Christians as pigs worthy of killing, is intolerant toward the beliefs of non-Muslims, justifies killings of any Muslim who leaves Islam to convert to another religion, beheads and maims as a form of punishment as taught by the Qur’an, is fundamentally flawed to its core and should be outlawed and banished from the face of this earth.

Although I seriously doubt I will ever see it, I am an advocate of an amendment to the U.S. Constitution which outlaws any religion espousing killing and teaches hatred of other non-believers of that religion.

America already has hate laws on the books but for some reason we felt we needed another. Maybe, just maybe, the recently signing into law of HR-1913 – Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009, will help, but something tells me I shouldn’t get my hopes up. Until then, I will continue to call out Islam for what it is – a formal and on-going hate crime in the act.

As long as Islamic leadership remains quiet about the terrorists and murderers in their ranks, many of whom have been indoctrinated and groomed by that leadership, we must continue to view Islam on the same level as the KKK – an organization filled with hateful oppressors and killers of those not like them.

If America is to wake up to this threat, then Europe is the alarm clock. She only has to open her eyes and to gaze across the water to see what awaits her if she does not get up and act.

Political Correctness and Weak Attitudes

As if having to deal with Islam and our non-existent security measures were not enough of a concern, we also have to fight against “Political Correctness”. On the day of the killings at Fort Hood at the hands of a lone Muslim, I noted General Casey’s take on the event during his press conference. It turned my stomach to listen to the General’s statements obviously framed with the guidance of his sensitivity training. He’s a warrior and should have been speaking to and about the enemy which made its way into his fort under his watch. He should have made it clear we are coming for the rest of them.

I continue to observe we are so afraid of trampling upon someone’s civil liberties that we won’t focus on the main mass which represents the source of our threat. Instead, we randomly pick people from a crowd or a line and expend the energy, money and resources to look into background, examine documents and search luggage to assess threat potential.

Just as our “security guard” has adopted a casual attitude about securing our tour bus from being a potential threat, and just as General Casey continues with his political correctness, we continue to demonstrate that we have the same attitude toward our country.

Meanwhile, the real terrorist slips through and now they live among us.

The Conscious Act of a Devout Muslim

Major Malik Nadal Hasan killed 13 and wounded as many as 30. Many of the victims were collecting their final deployment papers.

Witnesses say Army Major Malik Nadal Hasan opened fire using 2 handguns.

Hasan was in stable condition condition at a local hospital Thursday night, Cone said after previously reporting that he was killed at the scene.

A female first responder who shot at Hasan who was also previously thought to be dead, was also alive.

Reports say Major Hasan was scheduled to be sent overseas to Iraq or Afghanistan and was reported to have been upset about his pending deployment.

Authorities Begin Investigation

Nov. 6: Federal agents search the apartment of Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan in Killeen, Texas.

Federal law-enforcement agents ordered an evacuation of the apartment complex where Hasan lived in Killeen, Texas, and conducted a search of his home.

Officials said earlier that federal search warrants were being drawn up to authorize the seizure of his computer.

Before Thursday’s shooting, Hasan reportedly gave away all of his furniture along with copies of the Koran to neighbors, KXXV-TV reported.

Authorities have not ruled out that Hasan was acting on behalf of some unidentified radical group.

The motive for the shooting wasn’t clear, but Hasan was apparently set to deploy soon, and had expressed some anger about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Federal law enforcement officials told the Associated Press that Hasan had come to their attention at least six months ago because of Internet postings that discussed homicide bombings and other threats. The officials said they are still trying to confirm that he was the author.

One of the Web postings that authorities reviewed is a blog that equates homicide bombers with a soldier throwing himself on a grenade to save the lives of his comrades.

“To say that this soldier committed suicide is inappropriate. Its more appropriate to say he is a brave hero that sacrificed his life for a more noble cause,” said the Internet posting. “Scholars have paralled (sic) this to suicide bombers whose intention, by sacrificing their lives, is to help save Muslims by killing enemy soldiers.”

They say an official investigation was not opened.

Attended Same Mosque as 9/11 Highjackers

By the following Monday, it is learned Major Hasan apparently attended the same Virginia mosque as two Sept. 11 hijackers in 2001, at a time when a radical imam preached there. He also held his mother’s funeral at the Dar al Hijrah Islamic Center in Falls Church, Va., on May 31, 2001, according to her obituary in the Roanoke Times newspaper.

In his FBI interview, Aulaqi denied ever meeting with al-Hazmi and Hanjour while in Virginia.

Aulaqi, a native-born U.S. citizen, left the United States in 2002, eventually traveling to Yemen. He was investigated by the FBI in 1999 and 2000 after it was learned that he may have been contacted by a possible procurement agent for Osama bin Laden. During this investigation, the FBI learned that Aulaqi knew people involved in raising money for Hamas, a Palestinian group on the U.S. State Department’s terrorist list.

Imam Johari Abdul-Malik, outreach director at Dar al Hijrah, said he did not know whether Hasan ever attended the mosque but confirmed that the Hasan family participated in services there. Abdul-Malik said the Hasans were not leaders at the mosque and their attendance was utterly normal.

The Falls Church mosque is one of the largest on the East Coast, and thousands of worshippers attend prayers and services there every week. Abdul-Malik said it’s a mistake for people to conflate regular attendance at a mosque with extremism.

Senator Lieberman calls for Investigation

Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT), chairman of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security, told FOX News Sunday there were “strong warning signs” that Hasan was an “Islamist extremist.”

“If that is true, the murder of these 13 people was a terrorist act and, in fact, it was the most destructive terrorist act to be committed on American soil since 9/11,” Lieberman added.

The senator said he plans to hold a congressional investigation on whether the Army missed signs that Hasan had become an extremist, citing reports that the gunman had shouted Allahu Akbar, or God is Great, before firing on fellow soldiers, who were crowded in a “readiness center” where they get medical and dental check-ups before deployment.

Home Grown Terrorists or Islamic Allegiance over U.S. Patriotism ?

The events of this day will no doubt be a game changer with wide implications.

To begin, with the fact that Major Hasan gave away personal belongings prior setting out to kill U.S. military personnel removes any likelihood this is a case where he simply snapped due to stress caused from combat fatigue. It is safe to say his actions were premeditated. His research into the teachings of Islam on the matter further indicate his actions were planned.

From this point forward, many military personal who share the same heritage and/or belief systems as those held by Major Hasan and others will be under greater scrutiny than ever before. American Christians who convert to Islam will be examined with a wary eye to accurately assess their psyche. Security clearances will need to be re-evaluated. Assignments will change, Recruiting practices will be refined.

Make no mistake; this is not a mere case of home-grown terrorism as some officials so readily call it. To label it as such reflects a failure to grasp the fundamentals of what motives these people.

It is clearly a case where religious Islamic zeal (Jihad) has eclipsed normal Western civil sensibilities which then allowed for this level of violence to be unleashed.

An Act of Treason

The actions of Major Hasan are those of treason. He demonstrated his disloyalty to the country he was supposed to have served. He betrayed and killed fellow officers and enlisted men who were serving to protect her. His actions provided aid and comfort to our enemies. By all accounts, Major Hasan is a traitor.

I will expect that the Major will be court martialed in a military court and will, at the very least, receive a life sentence.

If justice is to be served, he will be shot by firing squad, but the PC-minds in government and our military will see to it that does not happen.

The Root Cause : Cognitive Dissonance

The nature of this act of violence should serve to open the eyes of many Americans who are still asleep and unaware of what we have living among us in America today.

While politicians dance around the issue, including President Obama, the actions of Major Hasan is simply that of Islamic terrorism.

When this American born Muslim lashed out against his fellow officers and enlisted personnel, he threw off his veil of American patriotism and values and donned the cloth of Islam and the teachings of Muhammad. The motivation needed to embark upon these killings should indicate that one set of religious values overrode the values associated with being an American patriot. It was inevitable.

Major Hasan, was a trained psychiatrist. He had more emotional, cognitive and reasoning skills than most but in spite of these abilities, they were not enough to override the teachings of Islam. For him the mere though of being sent to a Muslim country to fight against Muslim born extremists – his brothers – was more than he could deal with.

The Muslim in him was at conflict with whatever sense of being a good American he harbored. The uncomfortable level of dissonance was enough to create the motivation to act. Without a doubt he experienced anxiety, guilt, shame, anger, embarrassment, stress, and other negative emotional states created by a conflict of adopted belief systems.

It is a mistake to classify Major Hasan’s actions as those of a mentally ill person who slipped through examination. Major Hasan was perfectly sane. He, like so many other Muslims, was simply under the influence of Islam’s teachings. When America understands these mechanisms and understand the power these teachings have over other belief systems, then maybe America will come to fully understand the danger facing her.

It is like a shark. You cannot change it’s nature. You cannot be friends with it. It will kill you, unless of course you are also a shark.

The Muslim Brotherhood

The Muslim Brotherhood is an affiliation of at least 70 Islamist organizations around the world, all tracing their heritage to the original cell, founded in Egypt in 1928. Its credo:

“Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. Quran is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope.” — Sayyid Qutb

Hanged by the Egyptian government in 1966 as a revolutionary, Sayyid Qutb remains its ideological godfather. His best-known work, Milestones, calls for Muslims to wage violent holy war until Islamic law governs the entire world.

The Final Irony

We are so afraid of trampling upon someone’s civil liberties that we won’t focus on the main mass which represents the source of our threat. Instead, we randomly pick people from a crowd or a line and expend the energy, money and resources to look into background, examine documents and search luggage to assess threat potential.

Meanwhile, the real terrorist slips through.

This security posture is born from our fear of losing our civil liberties; of taking liberties away from others. The irony here is that because of the policies we hold onto today, we may well end up losing a city. When that happens, the policies we could be employing today to prevent that eventuality will look very attractive and acceptable compared to the ruthless policies and resulting loss of liberties we will then impose upon ourselves.

Newt Gingrich said it better than I can by saying,

“I think those of you who care about civil liberties had better be thinking through how we win this war before the casualties get so great that the American people voluntarily give up a lot of those liberties.”

With the fact that federal authorities were aware of Hasan’s internet conversations and did not open a full investigation, it would appear that even our government has not yet come to full terms with this insidious enemy of freedom.

I am always amazed by the comments from passionate Muslims who rail against criticism of Islam and its Qur’an.

The mere act of stating facts about the teachings of the Qur’an preached by their own Imams sends your average Muslim into a fit of outrage while citing passages of Muhammad to damn you, your mother, your soul and your country in a whirlwind of flying slobber.

Can you feel the love?

When they complain about the West and civilized societies which make “sweeping insinuations that the entire Islamic community and every Muslim is at war with the rest of the world”, they demonstrate an inability to look inward into their own community and to question their religious leaders who conjure up whole armies of martyrs using the teachings from the Qur’an, preaching death to the West and non-believers in general.

It is the general belief the West see Muslims as still believing The Crusades never ended. It is up to them to challenge their leadership to abandon these teachings which debase women, hurl insults and threaten the lives of non-believers, teaches revenge, advocates the punishment of those who will not convert to Islam, to kill those who turn away from Islam to adopt other religions, teach that Jews are monkeys and Christians are pigs.

These teachings are what create the perceived characteristics and nature of the Muslim community in general and specifically, Islam and Muhammad which are held by most in the West.

It isn’t their fault when they turn to the Qur’an to learn about the religion and to further understand Muslims and read passages like these.

Any religion which espouses or advocates the dismemberment or beheading or killing as punishment or advocates honor killings is basically, fundamentally flawed to its very core.

The stories we read in the press, like the ones below, are messages which come from your own people who have stolen your religion from you and turn it against you. Do not whine to the West because we are taught this by your leadership while you stand idle in your shoes.

Either get involved and take your religion back and prove to the world it is as peaceful as you claim or simply sit down and shut up as you have lost your moral ground to voice a single complaint.

On June 22, 2009, France’s President Nicolas Sarkozy launched an attack on a small but growing number of fundamentalist women in a “state of the nation” speech that was the first by a French President to both houses of parliament since 1873. It it, Sarkozy called the practice of French Muslim women in France who wear the burka called their full-body dress a “debasement of women”.

“In our country we cannot accept that women be prisoners behind a screen, cut off from all social life, deprived of all identity. The burka is not a religious sign. It is a sign of subservience, a sign of debasement. It will not be welcome on the territory of the French Republic.” – French President Sarkozy, from speech given to French parliament, Versailles.

Mr Sarkozy’ statements reflect a a strong consensus that has emerged against women in France’s five million-strong Muslim community who wear the full or nearly-full cover of their bodies and faces. The latest French controversy over Muslim dress, which follows the 2004 ban on head-cover in state schools, began this month when 60 MPs from both sides of the house demanded action against the burka and the niqab.

“A debate has to take place and all views must be expressed. What better place than parliament for this? I tell you we must not be ashamed of our values, we must not be afraid of defending them.” — President Sarkozy.

While many on the Left disapprove of what is seen as a small rise in women adopting fundamentalist dress, speculated to number several thousand, they are also unhappy with what they see as Mr Sarkozy’s enthusiasm for action. They fear it would further stigmatize the large immigrant population already excluded from much of mainstream life.

Muslim leaders reacted cautiously to Mr Sarkozy’s words on the niqab and burka. Dalil Boubakeur, rector of the Great Mosque of Paris, called the President’s remarks “in keeping with the republican spirit of secularism”. Moderate Muslims also saw full face-covering as a symbol of submission, said Mr Boubakeur.

Measures against face cover are supported by two of the three women Muslims in the French Cabinet but other ministers are questioning the wisdom of legislation that could be impossible to enforce.

While Obama was in Cairo in June 2009, he attacked the French headscarf rule in a speech in a speech he made there, saying that the United States did not believe that the Government should dictate people’s dress.

French Immigration Minister Eric Besson supports policy

On October 25, 2009, French Immigration Minister Eric Besson said in an interview, wearing the burka is “contrary” to French values. His statements underscore building resentment of the impingement of Islamic and Muslim values on European culture

Besson’s remarks again sparked outrage from French opposition members with his claims that French culture is being lost on immigrants.

“I want to launch a major debate over national values and identity,” Besson said in an interview quoted by Radio France Internationale. Besson asserts that immigrants should have a certain understanding of the French language, the country’s history and French culture “to reaffirm the values of identity and the pride of being French,” — French Immigration Minister Eric Besson

While Besson stopped short of calling for a public ban of the garment, he called the burka “inacceptable” in France.

Besson defended the country’s decision to deport three undocumented Afghan immigrants back to their home in Kabul within the previous week and said that he will continue the country’s hard-line approach to illegal immigrants to the country.

France has already deported 21,000 undocumented immigrants in 2009.

Dress Codes in European Countries

— In France a law was passed in 2004 banning pupils from wearing “conspicuous” religious symbols at state schools, a move widely interpreted as aimed at the Muslim headscarf

— In Turkey where 99 per cent of the population is Muslim, all forms of Muslim headscarf have been banned in universities for decades under the secular government. In June 2008 the country’s Consitutional Court overruled government attempts to lift the ban, prompting protests

— In Britain guidelines say that the full Islamic veil should not be worn in courts, but the final decision is up to judges. Schools may forge their own dress codes and in 2006, courts upheld the suspension of Aishah Azmi, a Muslim teaching assistant who refused to remove her veil in class

— German states have the option of choosing to ban teachers and other government employees from wearing Muslim headscarves; four have done so

—The Italian parliament in July 2005 approved anti-terrorist laws that make hiding one’s features from the public — including through wearing the burla — an offence

— Tunisia, a Muslim country, has banned Islamic headscarves in public places since 1981. In 2006 authorities began a campaign against the headscarves and began strictly enforcing the ban

— The Dutch Government said in 2007 that it was drawing up legislation to ban burkas, but it was defeated in elections in November and the new centrist coalition said it had no plans to implement a ban

Brussels, The Capital of EurAbia

Politicians in Europe are generally growing worried as its Muslim population swells amid little integration. Old Europe’s population is dwindling even as immigration and high birth rates among Muslim groups are swelling in cities all over the continent.

“It’s a double-danger; both rampant street-crime and anti-Western sentiment. Some Belgians claim Muslim enclaves are forming in Brussels, who charge its government is bending over backwards to appease the Islamic community.”

There are no official statistics on how many Muslims live in Brussels, but it is believed they make up about 25 percent of the city’s 1 million urban residents.

Dewinter, who opposes immigration and has called Islamophobia a “duty,” claims three of the 19 sections of Brussels, each with its own mayor, now have Muslim majorities.
